COVID-19 Update: How We Are Serving and Protecting Our Clients.

At Argyris Mah, LLP, we are closely tracking the rapidly evolving public health and community concerns related to the new coronavirus or COVID-19, including the Shelter in Place orders applicable to Santa Clara County and the State of California. Rest assured that we are taking all available steps to remain accessible to our clients as we continue to act in accordance with their best interests during this difficult time.

Please see below for answers to some frequently asked questions, and feel free to reach out to us any time via email at info@argyrismah.com or by phone at (408) 564-5674 for assistance with your legal matter.

Is your office currently open during normal business hours?

Our physical office is currently closed. However, our team is working remotely. Please be assured that although the courts are closed and all hearings, trials, etc. have been continued, except in very specific circumstances, all other work on your case will continue and you will continue to have access to attorneys as needed. We are also still able to file documents with the court as needed.

When and how can I contact you?

You are welcome to contact us via email at info@argyrismah.com or by phone at (408) 564-5674. If you choose to call the office, you will need to leave a voicemail. If you do leave a voicemail, please also email us to be sure your message is received.

What video chat platforms do you offer for clients?

Most communication may be done by telephone and email, but we do offer video chat options as necessary.

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes! Please email us at info@argyrismah.com or contact us by phone at (408) 564-5674 to set up a free consultation.

How can I get updates regarding the status of my case or legal matter?

We are actively working on updating clients regarding their court appearances as we receive information from the courts. If you have specific questions on your matter, please email the attorney working on your matter.

Are courts of law still open in my area? Will my court date be rescheduled? What if I can’t come to court because I’m sick or quarantined?

All non-emergency court hearings in Santa Clara County and Alameda (custody emergency screenings and domestic violence) through April 5th have been continued by the court. We are contacting clients regarding new hearing dates as we receive them from the court. We are also anticipating that because of these continuances, hearings set in April and May will also be continued. If you had a court date on calendar through April 5th and have not received an update from us, please contact us so that we can check the status of your matter.

Please note that while we are still able to file documents electronically in Santa Clara County for now, Alameda county is not accepting filings at this time.

If you are exhibiting any symptoms or are ill prior to any court appearances, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can request a continuance. We can also make arrangements for telephone appearances in certain situations.

Will scheduled depositions, mediation, arbitration, or settlement conferences occur as planned?

All in person proceedings currently scheduled or on calendar will be rescheduled for a future date. However, we are continuing to make written and telephone settlement efforts on all cases with opposing parties and opposing counsels directly, to the extent possible.
